What a fantastic Saturday, October 11th!

We’re so thankful to everyone who came out to Bay Area Brewing Company for a day of food, friends, and music. The crowd, the laughter, and the coastal breeze made it unforgettable.

A big thank you to Masshole Lobster Truck and our hometown originals, Rockport Cajun’s Boo & Poo, for keeping the good times rolling. Hosting food trucks like theirs is exactly how we imagined serving food at our brewery — flavorful, family-friendly, and full of Rockport pride.

🦞  Bringing the Community to the Table

Our goal is simple: to offer what our community’s families and visitors truly crave.

In Rockport, many food trucks are now parked at permanent spots. Locals already know where to find their favorites, which makes it a challenge to bring something fresh and fairly priced for our patrons.

Thankfully, recent state changes have made it easier. The Texas Legislature passed House Bill 2844, allowing food trucks to operate statewide under a single permit (source). In addition, Senate Bill 1008, effective September 1, prevents cities from adding extra rules beyond state food-truck standards (source).

These new laws will help us partner with more high-quality food trucks and keep our community menu exciting.

Running a food truck takes a lot of heart and hustle.

Most need around 50 customers a day just to cover food, wages, fuel, and upkeep. That’s not easy in a small coastal town filled with great dining choices.

Every plate you buy and every word you share online truly helps. Your support keeps those wheels turning and the flavors coming.

At Bay Area Brewing Company, we’ve also expanded our own German-style snack menu, and we’re planning monthly food-truck visits to mix things up. Variety is what makes Rockport special — and we want to serve it that way.
